Anna Josephine Widowski
Josephine Widowski, a lifelong resident of Bartlesville, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on August 20, 2020. Anna Josephine (Riehart) Widowski was born in Bartlesville on April 22, 1926, to Frank and Ellen (Brooks) Riehart. She attended Lincoln Elementary School, Central Jr. High, and College High School where she graduated with the senior class of 1944. She has been employed by First National Bank, Douglas Aircraft Company of Tulsa, Phillips Petroleum Company, Scott’s Office Supply, and the Salvation Army. She and Paul E. Widowski were married on November 24, 1946 in Bartlesville. Paul preceded her, in death, on June 20, 2009. Jo was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a longtime member of Grace Circle. She served the Washington County Election Board for 16 years and was a member of the American Business Women’s Association. She is survived by her children Dennis Widowski and wife Beverly, and Mark Widowski; her grandchildren, Dennis, Jr. Widowski and wife Sonya, Timothy Widowski, Brandon Widowski, and Brandi Ridpath and husband Darek; her six great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Karel Riehart, and several nieces and nephews. Her father, mother, two sisters Frances Rainwater and Doris Smith preceded her in death. Public Visitation for Jo will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 24 at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp chapel. Burial will follow at the Dewey Cemetery under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
