Betty Ann Crittenden, 85, of Dewey, Oklahoma died late Friday night, August 14, 2020 at her home.
Betty was born January 16, 1935 at Roff, Oklahoma to Gus Aaron Underwood and Eula Mae (Gonce) Underwood. Gus followed pipeline work and the family lived in several locations, eventually settling in Dewey when Betty was a young girl. She was a graduate of Dewey High School. Betty married Charles D. Reese and three children were born into this union. She later married Forrest K. “Frosty” Crittenden in 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Betty was owner and operator of Betty’s Café in Dewey for 27 years, before retiring in 1997.
She was a member of Bartlesville’s Tuxedo Assembly of God. Betty’s outdoor passion was her flower beds and trees that she had lovingly planted on her property. She loved spending time with her many grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children, Janetta Tracewell, Rick Reese and wife, Susan, Jack Reese and Billie Roberts; siblings, Gail Jones and husband, Hurshel, Mark Underwood, Suzette Underwood, Charlote Spencer and husband, Chester and Kim Catlin; grandchildren, Carl & Allison Lowe, Alex & Brandy Reese, Fred Tracewell, Cody & Jamie Key and Chris Hamlett; 13 great grandchildren Corey, Curtis, Stormi and Dakota Lowe, Destiny, Caitlyn and Hunter Reese, Asa Tracewell, Kaiden Fowler, Adysen, Brooklynn and Brysen Key, and Kassidy Hamlett; one great-great-grandchild. Reign Guffey; and her nieces and nephews, Rebecca Robinso, Derand Catlin and Jerry Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents; by her sisters, Frankie Bell Long, Patsy Lorene and Mary King and by her husband, Frosty Crittenden.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2020 in the Dewey Cemetery with Pastor Charles McKnight officiating. Service and interment are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, 9am-8pm with family receiving guests at the funeral home from 6-8pm.
