Bonnie Ruth Dean, a cherished member of the community known for her passion for art, peacefully passed away at her home in Vinita, Oklahoma. Born in Estella, Oklahoma, on September 21, 1933, Bonnie lived a fulfilling life dedicated to creativity and expression.
Bonnie's artistic flair shone brightly as she owned and operated an art studio in both California and Vinita. Her love for painting not only brought joy to her own life but also touched the hearts of all who beheld her work.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews who will always carry her memory in their hearts.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Lee Davis and Stella Henrietta (Highsmith) Davis; her beloved son Robert Wayne Mercer in 2000; daughter Barbara L. Dean in January 2024; siblings, Vivian Blevins, Lavena Lundy, Orlena Knight, Wayne Davis, Doyle Davis, her twin sister Connie Garcia, and Dixie Woodard. Together they shared a bond that will forever hold them close.
A Graveside Service to honor Bonnie's life will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita on March 23, 2024. The service will commence at 10:00 AM with friends and family gathering to pay their respects. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.
