Derla Jean Wise, born on October 13, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 15, 2026. She lived a fulfilling life, notable for both her dedicated career and her deep commitment to family and faith.

Derla devoted 40 years of her professional life to First National Bank, where she earned the respected position of Vice President before her retirement. Her work ethic and dedication made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community she served.

A proud graduate of Will Rogers High School, Derla was not only dedicated to her career but also to her faith. She was a cherished member of Carter Baptist Church, where she found strength and companionship within her spiritual community.

Her family was the cornerstone of her life. Derla is survived by her husband, Terry Wise, who stood by her throughout their years together. She was a loving mother to her children, Jean Anne Bench, Jeff Wise of Joplin, Missouri and Jessica Westbrook (David) of Pensacola, Oklahoma. She took immense joy in her role as a grandmother to her grandchildren, Josie King (Walt), Kelli Crabtree (Joe), Michah Wise (Mackenzie), T.J. Wise, Julie Wise, and Isabella Westbrook. Furthermore, Derla cherished the moments she spent with her great-grandchildren: Joli, Mila, Zoey, Presleigh, Paisley, Leighton, Roland, Blake, Ryder, Jesse, Dallas, J.J., Miranda, Jaxon, Jesiah, and Jericho.

Derla was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jean Anne Bench; her parents, Jack and Rachel Goddard; and her sisters Jackie, Francis, and Phyllis.

Her legacy will forever be honored by her family and friends, including special friends Darrell and Darlene Ward, who were treasured in her life.
