Frances Ann (Mayer) Paresa

Frances Ann (Mayer) Paresa, 76, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Sunday, July 9, 2023.  Frances was born on November 5, 1946, to Bruno and Maybelle (Hendricks) Mayer.

Frances spent her youth in Vinita, Oklahoma.  She attended Hall Halsell Elementary School and Vinita High School, where she graduated in 1965.

After high school, Frances attended the University of Oklahoma before transferring to the University of Tulsa, where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.   She then received her Master’s Degree in social work from the University of Hawaii.   She worked for the state of Oklahoma in the child welfare department, before pursuing a career in private practice as a family therapist.    As a second career, Frances opened her own company (Bankers Registry) specializing in executive recruiting.  

Frances loved to travel with Switzerland being her favorite place.  Throughout her life she resided in Hawaii, Oregon, Arizona, Texas, Washington, California, Arkansas and Oklahoma.   She enjoyed shopping, sailing, swimming, listening to music, and watching old classic movies.  She had a special place in her heart for animals.  She had many dogs in her life with her favorite being her Labradoodle, Benjamin.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents: Bruno and Maybelle Mayer.

She is survived by her daughter: Amber Kalei Paresa of Santa Barbara, California.

Frances will be laid to rest beside her beloved mother (MeMe) under the guidance of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, OK.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ name can be made to the Doris Day Animal Foundation 8033 Sunset Boulevard, Suite 845 Los Angeles, CA 90046.
