Jeffrey Alan Hopper, 64-year-old Vinita resident, passed away January 9, 2025, in Barstow, California. Jeff was born on May 23, 1960, in Huntsville, Arkansas to James G. II and Juanita (Moore) Hopper.
Jeff faithfully served his country in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was very proud of his military service. After his service in the Army, Jeff went to work as a commercial truck driver. Jeff not only enjoyed truck-driving, but he also loved it.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Theresa Hopper, of the home; children, Jonathan Hopper and wife, Jennifer, of Oklahoma City, Zachary Hopper of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Blake Cook of Vinita, Oklahoma, Whitney Cook and partner, Clayton Still of Vinita, Oklahoma, and Dylan Bishop of Vinita, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; sisters, Carol Keesling of Gentry, Arkansas, Linda Evans of Decatur, Arkansas, and Jim Hopper III of Bakersfield, California; and father-in-law, Ed Gottsponer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law; Doris Gottsponer.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 28, 2025 at the Vinita Community Church with Pastor Andrew Haire, Sr. officiating. Military Funeral Honors will be rendered by the United States Army Funeral Honors Detail.
