Jon Dennis

Jon Burl Wyatt Otto Dennis, 17-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at home. He was born August 8, 2006, to Brandon Scott and Jennifer (Shears) Dennis in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

 Jon was a talented young man and an aspiring tattoo artist. He loved hanging out with friends and family. He was a family man and loved being with his nephew, Jamari. He always had music playing. He enjoyed skateboarding, and late-night car rides. He was always there for others. 

 He was a beloved Grandson, Son, Brother, Friend and Uncle. 

 He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Dennis of Vinita; siblings, Harlie Shears (Jeremy Mendoza), James Shears (Nancy Gilbert), Savanna Dennis, and Drew Rutherford all of Vinita; Grandparents, Sonia Adams, Tammy and Tom Dickey, and Darren Shears; Aunt, Ashley Odom; Cousin, Barbara Odom; Nephew, Jamari Mendoza; Niece, Persephone Standingwater-Rutherford; and Special friends, Myles Bock and Zackary Whipple. 

 He was preceded in death by his father, Brandon Dennis. 

 A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at the Vinita Community Church. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.
