Karen Sue Brown (Berry), 68-year-old Afton resident, was peacefully called home on February 12, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on January 31, 1958, in Loveland, Colorado to Carl and Patty (Turner) Berry. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Gary Brown on June 23, 2003, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they shared many years of traveling for anniversaries, celebrating their kids and grandkids, and creating treasured memories.
Karen grew up in Picher with her three siblings and attended Picher Schools. She was a creative soul who liked playing on her computer, loved her dogs, kids, and grandkids with unconditional love. Karen was also known as a shy, quiet, and kind person.
Karen is survived by her husband, Gary, of the home; daughters, Erin Bricker, Amber Lynch and husband Lucas, Andrea Davis and husband Danny and son by marriage Zack Brown; grandchildren, Caryn Bennett, Sierra and Annabeth Lynch, Erin, Destiny and Brooklyn Lima, Kai and Kross Davis, and MaKalyn and Tinley Brown; and her three siblings.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Sixkiller Cemetery in Afton with Chaplain Dan Weiser officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemoriesvinita.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. “Family owned.
