LeElla attended school at White Oak and Big Cabin Schools. She married Harold Borgstrom on September 4, 1948, and had two children, Virgil and Rhonda. They were all members of the Big Cabin Christian Church where LeElla taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was the church treasurer for many years. LeElla worked at the Big Cabin School for two years as the Secretary to the Superintendent. LeElla married George Leake on January 2, 1999 and the two enjoyed several happy years together.
LeElla loved to read her Bible and any book pertaining to history. She also loved to garden, can food, and cook; but most of all, she loved to sew. She made a lot of dresses for Rhonda and sewed numerous quilts over the years. She gave all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren one of her handmade quilts. She also enjoyed telling stories about her family, especially about squirrel hunting with her Daddy and learning to sew at a very young age from her grandmother.

LeElla is well known by many as a very kind, happy person; always thinking of others. She will be missed by all who know her. LeElla knew her purpose was to spread the Word of God, and she did so by teaching and by the way she lived her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Borgstrom; her brother Sam Egnor; and her second husband, George Leake.
