Lonnie Ray Ash

Lonnie Ray Ash, 73-year-old Eucha resident, passed away May 3, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 28, 1952, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Jimmy and Gloria (Atkins) Ash. Lonnie married Vicki Parrish on April17, 1987 in Vinita.

Lonnie served in law enforcement for thirty-three years. He started his career in Nowata with the Nowata County Sheriff’s Office and Nowata Police Department. He later worked for Benton County Sheriff’s Office in Benton County, Arkansas where he worked his way up from Patrolman to Detective. He then transferred to Gravette Police Department where he retired after ten years as a Lieutenant.

Lonnie was an avid farmer and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and carpentry. He loved storytelling, often telling them repeatedly; however, each time he told them it made them interesting. He also enjoyed his visits with his best friend AJ, telling jokes and funny stories from their time growing up.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Vicki, of the home; five daughters; two sons; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister; and grandmother.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley with Pastor Andrew Haire, Sr. officiating.
