Loretta Cook, 91-year-old Langley resident, passed away January 15, 2026, at Grandwood Nursing Center in Grove surrounded by family. She was born on December 29, 1934, in Decatur, Arkansas to Ray Everett and Marie (Wayt) Wilkins.
Loretta grew up on a farm between Decatur and Gravette. She graduated from Gravette High School in 1952 where she lettered in basketball and played saxophone in the band.
She was known as a ball of energy with a spirited personality. In her spare time, Loretta enjoyed dancing. She was a devout Catholic, active in the St Francis-Rome parish in Langley where she served as a Eucharistic minister and Lector as well as a volunteer for many church activities. A successful realtor in the Grand Lake area for over 30 years, many knew her for her energetic personality and abilities.
Loretta is survived by her children, Jackie Foreman (Jim Finnell) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Billy Boydston, Jr. (Kathy) of Sorrento, Florida; grandchildren, Amber Gaddis (Matt) of Dallas, Texas, Amy Fernando (Johann) of Lake Mary, Florida, and Kevin Boydston (Jenny) of Dallas, Texas; five great grandchildren; and sister, Iva Jane Hamilton of Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Gene Cook; parents; and sisters, Lena White and Raydell Ferrel.
Ms. Cook will be available for viewing Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 9:00-4:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas with Rev. Balaraju Akkala officiating.
