Norman Davis

August 19, 1936 — April 30, 2020

Norman Watson Davis passed away peacefully at his home in Langley, Oklahoma on April 30, 2020

Norm was born in a log cabin in Muskogee County on August 19, 1936 to James Earnest and Jewell Katrina Davis. He built his first house in 1954 and continued to build for 65 years, retiring recently from his company, Grand View Homes.  Building was a passion; he never looked at it as work but rather something he loved doing. Many clients became lifelong friends.  Norm and Erin built and ran several businesses over the years but their greatest joy and accomplishment is their son, Mack.

Norm loved to travel and went all over the world. He also was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, camping with friends and family. His favorite was camping alongside any creek. He spent time as a Boy Scout Leader and participated with his son Mack during many events and camping trips and was so proud when he achieved his Eagle Scout award. He enjoyed water and snow skiing and was an excellent bowler, having been sponsored for a time. Everyone that knew Norm has enjoyed his cooking; he was known for his fudge.

Norm was preceded in death by his father, James Earnest Davis, his mother, Jewell Katrina Davis, sister Ruth and best friend and brother-in-law Wade Hucklby. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Erin and their son Mack. His daughters Janat Jalili, Linda Brodie and Diane King and their children, Emily and Dylan Brodie, Ali Jalili, Ashley Towne and great grandchild Jaxson Towne and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.

Norm will be missed by many around the Grand Lake area and beyond.
