Patty Bowers

Patty Ann Bowers, 59, a long time Vinita resident, gained her Heavenly reward on the morning of February 6, 2023. Although you may be gone, we find comfort in knowing you are at rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior.

Patty was born on October 31, 1963, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of John Patrick and Linda (Bricker) Fitzgerald.

To some she was Patty or mom, but to many she was nana Patty. Patty was a unique person with a huge heart and she never met a stranger. She had love and cared for each person that she encountered. Family meant everything to Patty. She truly showed the love of Christ in all aspects of her life.

Patty enjoyed every aspect of life, but in almost everything that she did, it was for others. For the past five years she was a crisis recovery specialist for Grand Lake Mental Health. She previously worked for home of hope for many years. She then opened a home daycare followed by opening her daycare center Helping Hands. She Loved to coach little league and watching her children and grandchildren play ball. Patty was also a proud foster parent for many years before adopting. Patty was always willing to help anyone in need at any time. Anything that she could to give back to others, she did.

Most of all, Patty enjoyed time with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren and could often be found surrounded by both, it truly was her happy place. She truly will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. To know Patty was to know true compassion and love.

Patty was preceded in death by her father John Patrick and step sister, Jamie Grapevine-Clayton, and many other family members.

Those left to cherish the memory and legacy include her mother Linda Bricker of Illinois, her children; Troy of Illinois, Tracy and Joe of Vinita, Tabitha of Vinita, Chelsee, and Dakota of Vinita, her grandchildren; Brooklyn, Kyleigh, Mikalea, Amelia, Aleiha, Carter, Avalyn, Remington, and Mason, her siblings; Kelly Brock, Sherry Whitney, Roy Bricker, Carrie Fitzgerald, Barbara Jean Bricker, Joe Bricker and John Bricker, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Ms. Bowers has entrusted her love, care and, final honors to the loving staff of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita.
