Robert Cleveland Palone, 92, of Delaware, Oklahoma, passed away on August 28, 2020 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas. Robert was born on December 14, 1927 in Lenapah, Oklahoma to Cleve and Grace (Coppock) Palone. He grew up and attended school in Lenapah.
Robert married Lorene McKee on June 26, 1950, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. Robert served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
The couple made their home in Delaware where Robert was a barber for nearly 60 years. They also owned and operated the Landers Brothers grocery store for many years. As a barber, Robert made a lot of friends over the years and heard and told a LOT of stories. He Served as a pallbearer over 200 times.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Louise Palone and Katherine Lowrey.
Surviving are his wife, Lorene Palone, of Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas; three sons, Nick Palone (Pam), Kenny Palone (Diana), John Palone (Karen); three grandchildren, Beau Palone, Noah Palone, and Kate Palone; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Emily Palone; many other relatives and a host of friends.
There will be a private family service later date. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.
