Russell Hogan

Russell Vernon “Russ” Hogan, 86-year-old, beloved husband, friend, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, was called to his eternal resting place on April 16, 2026. He entered this world on June 5, 1939, in Phoenix, Arizona to Dwight and Wynetta Hogan. He entered the United States Air Force where he served as an aircraft mechanic from 1956 through 1960.

Russ was a true entrepreneur. He built, owned, and operated Rapier Hollow Marina for twenty-eight years. His business endeavors did not stop there; however, and at the age of sixty, Russ started Hogan’s Offroad Park in Disney.

Through both of his business endeavors, Russ made many lifelong friends that became like family to him. You never had to wonder where you stood with Russ, and you either liked him or did not.

He is survived by his wife Dana Hogan; sister, Linda Sheldon and husband, Bob; brother, Red Hogan and wife Deta; sister-in-law and husband Tommie and Glenn Goodale; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the funeral home chapel in Langley with Pastor Bill Goldner officiating. Interment will follow in the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery with Brian Neumeir, Dylan Neumeir, Kagan Neumeir, Joseph Neumeir, Trevor Taylor, and Dalton Taylor service as casket bearers.
