Sally Ann Flynn 59-year-old Vinita resident passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 2, 2026, at her home. Sally was born on April 24, 1966, at the U.S. Army Hospital in Wurzburg, Germany, to Richard Flynn Jr. and Annabelle (Scott) Flynn, who both preceded her in death. Shortly after her birth, Sally and her family returned to Michigan, where she spent her early childhood before later relocating to Oklahoma. In recent years, Sally made her home in Vinita, Oklahoma.

Sally was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her four children: Joshua Nichol and his wife Savannah Nichol, Daniel Nichol, Jacob Flynn, and Autumn Flynn.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Cailyn Nichol, Emmanuel Nichol, Hadley Nichol, Asher Nichol, Jensen Nichol, Mccoy Nichol, Addison Jordan, Braden Nichol, Collin Flynn, Dallas Zong, and Lane Crane.

She is also survived by her brothers Richard Flynn and Jack Flynn. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Flynn Jr., and Annabelle Flynn, and by her siblings Mary Durrett and David Flynn.

Throughout her life, Sally worked hard and took pride in caring for others. She spent time working as a waitress and later worked several years at Vinita Flag and Apron. She also worked in the kitchen at a local nursing home, where she prepared meals for residents and took great pride in feeding and caring for others.

Sally enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening, camping, and fishing, and she especially loved cooking for family and friends. Sharing meals was one of the many ways she showed love to the people around her.

Those who knew Sally remember her as a deeply kind and loving person who was always willing to help anyone in need. She was also known for being honest and straightforward—never leaving anyone guessing where she stood. Though life was not always easy, Sally had a remarkable ability to bring warmth, laughter, and kindness to those around her, even on difficult days.

Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Sally will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service celebrating Sally’s life will be held with a potluck style meal on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church Hall, located at 120 West Sequoyah Ave in Vinita, Oklahoma.

Though she is gone from our sight, the love she gave so freely will remain with us always. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemoriesvinita.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
