Sandra Hogue

May 15, 1946 — August 18, 2022

Sandra (Sandy) Kay Hogue of Jenks, Oklahoma, was born May 15, 1946, in Chickasha, OK, to Manley and Viola (Lanham) Smith.  Sandy passed from this life into eternal rest with our Lord and Savior on August 18, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Sandy married the love of her life James T. (Jim) in Tulsa, OK in 1985, and they moved to the Keystone Lake area where they lived for a number of years.  Sandy worked many years at Oxy Petroleum in Tulsa.  They moved to Gran Tara on Grand Lake near Cleora, OK.

Sandy worked for the Logan and Lowry Law firm in Vinita.  She spent a number of years a devoted member of the Cleora United Methodist Church.  To be around water of any kind was a happy place for Sandy.  She lived for the days on the water and loved to travel to the beach. Sandy had an extraordinary love for music. Sandy enjoyed her time on Grand Lake with her loving husband Jim until his passing in 2015. Sandy moved to Jenks, OK to be closer to family after Jim passed.  In her latest years she enjoyed her exercise classes at Faith Church.  They brought her a lot of joyful moments with the friends she met and became close to there.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents, and two siblings Mildred and Jack. Sandy is survived her sister, Kathy Royse and husband Earl of Jenks OK; her step-daughter, Rashel Carnefix and husband Jack of Perkins OK; a special niece, Angie White of Jenks OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has entrusted her care to Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, OK.  A public viewing with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 24, from 11 am- 1 pm at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Langley OK, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm at McLaughlin Cemetery.
