Sharon Nancy Alfonso-Craddock, 84, passed away Sunday June 15th 2025 surrounded by close friends and family. Sharon was born June 19th 1940 to Katherine (Piatt) and Charles Record in Chanute, KS where she later graduated high school in 1958. Sharon was known for grabbing life by the horns and enjoying all the adventures life brought. She was feisty, spirited, and opinionated, but she loved just as passionately. She had the most infectious giggle and gave it freely along with her banter.
In 1960 she married Larry Dalton and with him had three children Traci, Todd, and Angie. After 6 years they divorced. In the 70s she moved to Tulsa and owned a dress shop Funky Fashions.
She bar tended in a high-end bar during the oil boom era in Tulsa where she loved meeting interesting people and sharing ideas. This was one of her favorite past times throughout life, she enjoyed sharing quality time and learning about people with diverse backgrounds and interests.
Throughout her life Sharon was a socialite, thriving in the social dynamics of the city. But she also loved to travel the world and favored her exotic beach getaways such as the Bahamas, Belize, and Costa Rica. She would later take her grandsons on their first beach vacation in Cancun. Even later in life she was a snowbird and would travel during the winter months before returning home in the spring.
Sharon had a well-developed ornery streak and was teased relentlessly about her bad luck in marriages. But in the 1980s she married the love of her life Tony Alfonso. They were together until his passing in 1993.
She remarried to Jerry Craddock and they shared a happy marriage until his passing in 2008.
Those she loved, she loved fiercely. She loved being a grandma and she was easily conned into picking up her grandsons from school when they had a “headache” to go grab some ice cream and TLC.
The boys enjoyed their slumber parties with “Tulsa Grandma” where she would take them to RONS at the farm in Tulsa every time they went to visit as their special place to eat.
Throughout the 90s and early 2000s she owned and operated a tanning salon, Sharon’s Endless Summer where her niece worked for her before moving to Disney at Grand Lake in Oklahoma.
Later in life she kept a close-knit group of family and friends who she will be missed greatly by.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Charlene, daughter Traci, her granddaughter Anessa Ann, and her husbands Tony Alfonso and Jerry Craddock.
She is survived by her sister Vickie (Keith) Umbarger, son Todd and daughter Angie (Larry). Her grandsons Garett (Haley) Noland and Fisher (Megan) Noland. And three great grandchildren Emma, Aaliyah, and Ridge. Along with 5 nieces and nephews and their families.
Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held Saturday June 28th.
