Barry Cope

Barry Dean Cope, of Afton, Oklahoma, was born January 19th, 1940, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Kenneth and Imogene (Shahan) Cope. Mr. Cope passed from this life into eternal rest on August 30th, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Mr. Cope married the love of his life Kay on July 31st, 1961, in Wichita Kansas. To this union they were blessed with three boys. Barry was a family man, and he always found a way to put family first. He enjoyed a good game of golf and fishing. The sons of Mr. Cope remember their father as a fun man and loved to play. He always made time for them and was always ready for the next adventure. Mr. Cope Spent several years as the director of training in Drumright at the Central State Truck Driving School. He was a proud member of many associations involving truck drivers and training. He will be dearly missed by so many. Barry is preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson Bryan Collins. He is survived by His wife Kay of the home, three boys, Cary and wife Pamela of Afton, Richy and wife Kimberly, of Seguin, Tx, and Derek and wife Angela, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, tyler Cope, NataLee Cope Dupui, Kara Cope, Richie Collins, Anthony Neibauer, Nathan Neibauer, a sister, Jola Cope, nieces, Ashley Rehermann, Colby Nydegger, Morgan Nydegger, many other relatives and a host of friends. Private Family Services are pending. The family Has entrusted the care of Mr. Cope to Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, OK.
