Betty Mae (Harrison) Minson passed away Sunday morning May 30, 2021 surrounded by her family at Birch Pointe Health facility in Springfield, Missouri. She was born January 18, 1931, in Stilwell, Oklahoma the daughter of Noah Harrison and Winnie (Patterson) Harrison. Betty was raised at Big Cabin, and graduated in the Big Cabin High School Class of 1948. She married the love of her life Robert Wayne Minson on January 22, 1949 in Vinita, Oklahoma. Betty and Bob made their home in Vinita, until 1956, when they moved to Miami to be closer to Bob’s employer B.F. Goodrich. She lived in Miami until 2015, and then moved to Springfield, Missouri to be closer to her daughter Janet and granddaughter Jennifer. Betty enjoyed picking pecans and baking desserts with them to share with friends, making quilts for family members as wedding gifts, crocheting lap covers for the homebound, and making COVID masks which she gave to the Springfield Health Department for distribution.

She is preceded by her mother & father, and husband.

Survivors include her daughter Janet Weld and husband Jim of Springfield, Missouri. One granddaughter Jennifer Weld of Springfield, Missouri, and a special friend Tom Barbee and his wife Maria of Lenexa, Kansas.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 04, 2021, 1:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, with Pastor James LaSalle officiating, burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
