Bruce Page

Bruce Page went on to be with our heavenly father on Thursday, March 24, 2022.  Bruce was born January 9, 1956 to Harold and Virginia Page of Langley, OK.  As a child, he was just as ornery as he was  curious about the world.  He learned from those he loved at a young age to fish, hunt, garden, and then took an early interest in “making things go.” Bruce’s relatives love to share stories of his natural abilities and mechanical genius about when he was fixing bicycles for older relatives at just 6 or 7 years old or diagnosing motor problems for his father when he was just 8 or 9 years old at his grandfather’s auto shop.

Bruce attended Ketchum Public Schools, where he played football with some of his best, lifelong friends to this day. There, he also met the love of his life, Helen Roberts.  Helen married Bruce, her honey as she always called him, on February 16, 1974.  Bruce continued to develop a passion for building and racing hot rods.  Over the years, Bruce has helped to make the world beautiful by re-building or painting countless classic cars.

Bruce and Helen raised three children together. Bruce worked at Spavinaw Public Schools doing maintenance and driving the school bus. He also drove the bus at Ketchum, as needed, for his kids’ school functions. Bruce also owned and operated Bruce’s Auto Painting throughout the years. He always worked hard to provide for his family’s needs and was never afraid of anything. He was a protector, a do-er, a fixer, a helper. You never left Bruce’s house hungry or without some kind of gift from him. He would give, when he didn’t have it to give; help when he was too tired to help, because “that’s just what you do.” He exuded a true and pure kindness that was absolutely unmatched.  He was always glad to let a car merge into traffic or let someone in a hurry cut in line for groceries.  Bruce was a lover of nature. He cared deeply for all of God’s creations and fought to keep animals, trees, and plants safe and protected. He always fed the wild birds and deer and refused to cut down healthy trees. He believed if we take care of the land, the land will take care of us. He loved God and has always known exactly where he would go when he left this earth.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Virginia Page of Langley.  Bruce is survived by his wife of 48 years, Helen Page of Spavinaw; daughter Kimberla Page of Langley; daughter and son-in-law Kayde and Scott McLemore of Spavinaw; son Chance Page of Spavinaw; sister Yulonda Page Donnell of Ketchum, uncle Gary Clark and aunt Beverly Clark of Langley; and uncle Mac Clark of Clarksville, AK.  Bruce was also blessed with six grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a host of wonderful friends.
