Bulah Andra Shelton

June 5, 1947 ~ December 20, 2022 (age 75) 75 Years Old


The angel of death has visited again at United Missionary Baptist Church and taken from our midst Sis. (Bulah) Andra Shelton. She was called home on December 20, 2022, to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sis. (Bulah) Andra Shelton was a WAC in the United States Army and served 4 years in Germany, she was a veteran. She worked several years for Eastern State Hospital as a Financial Officer. She worked for the City of Springfield as a clerk. She worked for the Oklahoma Turnpike as a Toll Collector and retired from there. Also, she worked for the library and retired from there. She was a member of the Craig County Genealogy Society. She volunteered for the Genealogy Society Library. Andra is proceeded in death by both of her parents, her oldest sister, Aberdine Knox, and her oldest son Ronnie Shelton Jr. She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Venessa Shelton (Kenneth) of Collinsville, OK; a son Antwon Shelton of Tulsa, OK; and two grandsons, Ryan Phillips, Rashaad and Krista Phillips; Granddaughter Ebonie Heareth (Jordan) one great granddaughter, Kiera all of Collinsville, OK; a sister Corine Christian (Jim) of Vinita, OK, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Andra loved Sunday School, Bible study, and church, as well as gospel singing. Also, she loved doing genealogy for her family and helping others find their ancestors. A life lived as Sis. Andra lived cannot die, but will live on I the hearts, memories, and ideals of all those who knew and loved her. She will be missed, but not forgotten. God loved her more. “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait I say on the Lord” (Psalm 27:14)

A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday January 2nd, 2023, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Services for (Bulah) Andra Shelton will be Tuesday January 3rd, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the United Missionary Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, OK.
