Clifford Howeth

Clifford Argle Howeth, 93, of Langley, went to be with is heavenly father on June 6, 2022. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born on November 16, 1928 in Asher, OK. He was one of 11 children born to Ernest and Purlie Howeth. He was raised in Sulphur, OK on a dairy farm and later moved to Tonkawa to start a family with his wife Dorothy, who passed away in 1993.
As a young child he first learned of the power of God’s love as he battled Polio. He stayed true to his resolve all his life. He was a member of the First Church of God in Vinita and was always involved in serving the Lord in several churches. His favorite words were, “Just say Jesus”.
He loved his family including his 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Argle was a caring, compassionate, and respected member of his community. He owned and operated a motel in Langley for close to 60 years. He was a carpenter by trade and worked at Shangri La until his retirement.
Argle worked his whole life for this moment, even at the end of his life here on Earth, he told anyone with a few minutes about his Lord and Savior.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy Lee Maze (1993), son Clifford Lee Howeth (2013), granddaughter Kaylee Rae Howeth (2012) brothers: Orbra, Roy, Henry, Lesslie, and Cecil, and sisters: Fannie, Lucille, Velma, Oleta, and Ernistine. Survivors include his daughters Patricia McQueen and husband Steve of Langley and Janet Hampton and husband True of Jay, grandchildren: Stevi Webb and husband Daniel of Claremore, Reece McQueen of Langley, Trey Hampton and wife Jordan of Jay, Jessica Gross and husband Matt of Wyandotte, Jed Hampton of Jay, and Ryan Howeth of Langley, and great-grandchildren Lincoln Webb of Claremore and Tobias and Freya Gross of Wyandotte.
