David Seely

David Douglas Seely, 64, passed from this life into eternal rest at the Saint Francis Hospital on the evening of March 16, 2023. David was born on June 6, 1958, in Nowata, Oklahoma to George Berton Seely Jr. and Peggy Joann Hurst.

David grew up in the Vinita area and attended and graduated from Vinita High School. Though, he worked in different industries, David was known to work as a security guard. On June 6, 1997, David married the love of his life, Linda Aline Russell.

Anyone that knew David, knew that he clearly preferred spending his time in nature and outdoors. David loved fishing, hunting, camping, and taking drives to look at the wildlife. The people closest to David would say he could not see things that were in close range, but he was always able to spot that deer from the road from miles away. David enjoyed making people laugh. He enjoyed listening to classic rock music, having cookouts at the lake, and watching the San Francisco 49ers football team. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all that knew him.

David was preceded in death by his parents: George Seely and Peggy Hurst; his stepmother: Nancy Seely; and his sister: Leslie Paulos.

Those left to cherish the memory of a wonderful man include his wife: Linda Seely, his children: Mike Reano, Crystal Blair, April Seely, Tye Russell, James Russell, Joe Russell, and Andy Russell; and his siblings: Darryll Seely, Dalynn Seely, and Danny McKinny.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Russell officiating.
