Whitney Sunday-Bailey

May 5, 1987 — February 19, 2023

Vinita, OK

Whitney Lena Sunday-Bailey, lifelong Vinita area resident, took flight with angels on the evening of Sunday, February 19, 2023, in Langley OK. Whitney took her first breath of life on May 5, 1987, in Claremore OK, the beautiful daughter of Jess Sunday and Yulonda Donell.

Whitney was full of life and loved everyone. She really enjoyed the outdoors but her favorite pastime was fishing. She loved all things nature had to offer, she fished, hunted, explored, hiked, and did all things she could to enjoy God’s creations.

Whitney had a unique love for music and felt as though music truly blessed her soul each day. Whitney worked at Speedy’s in Langley and loved her job with a passion. Some of her greatest friendships developed with her boss and coworkers, she truly thought the sun rose and set in that place.

Whitney had a dog named Boog but it wasn’t just a dog to her it was her child and her best friend, the relationship they had was astounding, and could only be described as inseparable. Most of all Whitney loved her family and held them near and dear to her heart.

We find comfort in knowing although she is no longer here, we will see her again someday. Whitney truly will be missed by all who knew her. Her smile will forever be remembered as a smile that lit the world up.

Whitney was preceded in Death by her father Jess, and her grandparents.

Those left to cherish her beautiful memory Include her mother Yulonda, sisters, Ashley, Melva, and Kasey and her husband Joe, her nephews Blaze and Kamdyn, two best friends, Sky and Patty, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The Family has entrusted her love and care to the staff of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita OK.
