Barry Lane Bennett Sr. passed from this life peacefully surrounded by family on November 30, 2022. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA on August 25, 1952, the son of Marvin and Doris (Ellis) Bennett. He was a graduate of Central High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After serving his country Barry held many different positions, it could be said he truly was a “jack of all trades”. Above all Barry enjoyed his time spent with family and friends, he could always be found with a Coke in hand. Barry will be truly missed by those who called him a friend or family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Karla Jarman; three children Leah (Annie Boo) Williams; husband Aaron, of Wichita, Kansas, Angie Hector and husband Chris, and Laney Bennett and wife Tricia both of Central, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Doris Bennett and his sister Bonnie.

A celebration of Barry’s Life will be held at the Zoar Baptist Church, 11848 Hooper Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70818 at 11:00 am, Tuesday December 6th, 2022. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am before the service.
