Emily Horton

Emily Eulene Horton, 29, of Vinita, passed away at her home on March 30, 2022. She was born November 18, 1992, in Miami, Oklahoma to Robert Horton and Lora Comstock Hensley. She attended Vinita Schools and was a 2011 graduate of Vinita High School.

Emily was a CNA and a veterinary assistant. She loved caring for animals as well as caring for people in the nursing homes and home health care. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Commerce, Oklahoma. Emily loved the outdoors, was a free-spirited person, and nothing would hold her down when she made her mind up to do something. She was very funny and prideful. There was no one like her. Above all she loved her family. They all had a special place in her heart and will miss her dearly. Many friends loved her, and she will be missed.

Surviving Emily Horton are her mother and step father; Lora and John Hensley, of Vinita; father, Robert Horton, of Bakersfield, California; children, Leah Haire, of Vinita, Eli Haire, of Vinita, Lucy Garcia and her father, Oscar Garcia, of Miami; maternal grandmother, Deloris Phillips; paternal grandparents, Clint and Pat Comstock; paternal step grandfather Bob Hensley; siblings Ashley Horner and husband Timothy, of Vinita, Katie McIntyre, of Odessa, Texas; aunts and uncles, Tisha Horton, Richard Horton, Sharon Comstock, Josh Hensley; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial services for Emily Horton will be held at a later date.
