Ramona (Joyce) Parker, 89, longtime resident of Vinita, took up her heavenly reward on the bright morning of November 26th ,2022. Joyce was born on May 21st, 1933, the daughter of Donnie and Allie Burrus. Joyce was born at home in the hills of Richmond, Kentucky.

Joyce Married the love of her life Raymond C Parker JR. in September of 1956, they had a strong love that most admired. They shared many years together until Rays passing 2001. Joyce held their love and vows near and dear until she met Ray at the gates of heaven to begin their eternity in Christ.

A lot could be said about Joyce, but we sum it up solely as she was just perfect. Joyce spent many years as a registered nurse in the air force she served her country with pride. After leaving the air force she spent many years a nurse in Vinita at the Eastern State Hospital. Her lifelong dedication to caring for others speaks volumes to the kind of woman Joyce was.

Above all else Joyce Loved her lord and savior and shared the light of Christ to all she encountered. She spent over 40 years as a member of the First Christian Church (Now Known as Vinita Community Church). Joyce dedicated her life and good works to the lord and was a shining light of his love to all who knew her she will be greatly missed by all.

Joyce loved sports and especially the Oklahoma Sooners and the OKC Thunder. She loved to tickle the Ivory’s as she called it as she had a very unique talent and gift for playing the piano. Above all she loved her family and any time she got to spend with them.

Those who preceded Joyce in death include the love of her life Raymond C. Parker JR. as well as her Parents, Grandparents, and one brother Jim Burrus, and many other family members.

Those left to cherish her beautiful memory Include, her daughters Patricia J Parker, Pamela J. Averyt and Mona G. Sutton, Granddaughters Jessyca Ford, and Jillian Ford, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
